my voyager seems a little harder to steer than usual

voyager is designed to for both one or two children. Because of this extra functionality we recommend some modes over others for different age children and different size parents. Each mode has its benefits; be it extra space, greater connection with your child, or increased manoeuvrability. Here are some tips to help you find the right mode for you and your child.

Forward facing mode - This inline setup is what we are best known for and gives you the best manoeuvrability with both one or two children on board. For smaller parents try and put the larger child in the double kit seat; this moves the weight back away from the front wheels giving you lighter steering.

Rear facing mode - This is a great mode for creating a stronger connection with your child in the early months. It pushes the main seat slightly forwards to give you the extra space from the double kit so it isn't cramped when two children are on board. This more forward position does shift the weight more over the front wheels, because of this we recommend the front seat is used for smaller children if a smaller parent is pushing. If you do want your child to stay rear facing a little longer then try putting them more upright as this will shift the weight backwards, lightening the steering.

Adjustable handle bar - To further help the manoeuvrability of the buggy make sure you try a few handle heights and hand positions - you might find this simple change also help you handle the extra weight of two children on the buggy.

Our feedback shows that older children enjoy forward facing and looking out at the world, so this was part of our decision to focus on creating this extra space between the main seat and the double kit in all modes. We think we made the right choice especially when you try some other brands with their DK seats right over the front wheels or others where the two seats are really crammed together.
